Cancelled Games That I'd Love To See
One area of game development that has always fascinated me is the idea that we'll never get to play every game. Unfortunately, not every project is able to make it through to the end. Luckily for us, various types of media scattered across the internet allow us to take a glimpse into these games.
While it's unlikely that they'll ever see the light of day, we can at least appreciate them in this form. After all, lots of hard work went into creating them. The talented individuals responsible deserve praise and recognition.

The Unseen (formerly known as WarCaster) was slated to be an early release for the Original Xbox back in 2002. The screenshot is from a booklet which showcases upcoming games for the system, except it unfortunately never came out. This could've been the start of a big franchise. as the platform was looking for new mascots to feature along Master Chief. It's dark aesthetic set itself apart from most other games, especially with magic and other supernatural elements.

Aliens: Crucible was an interesting looking project that was being developed by Obsidian Entertainment as part of a publishing deal by Sega. While I'm not a huge fan of the series that this game was (going to be) based on, I love Obsidian's work. Fallout: New Vegas is my all time favourite game, so it was disappointing to hear that this was cancelled. It was going to be an RPG, playing to their strengths, but was canned in 2009, four years before Colonial Marines escaped development hell.

Childhood Memories!
Influences
Over the years, I've played many different games across a plethora of genres. Lots of them stick out to me for numerous reasons. Art style, sound design, addictive gameplay, and more. I thought it would be fitting to celebrate some of those who have inspired me.

Uselesspodcasts is a YouTube channel created by Mike Stout and Tony Garcia. They both used to work for Insomniac Games, known for their hit Ratchet and Clank franchise. Their videos do a great job of combining helpful information (ignore their name) with comedy. Each story they tell is interesting, funny and memorable. The games they worked on shaped a good chunk of my childhood. If you're searching for something new to watch that just so happens to be video game related, look no further.

Timothy Cain is a developer with around forty years of video game experience. He's worked as a programmer, given valuable insight as a design consultant and created one of the most well known RPGs ever made, Fallout. His videos are among the best I've seen in this field. Your skill level doesn't matter, his content appeals to everybody, which makes him stand out from the rest. He uploads almost every day, so don't miss anything.
